On June 5th from 1:00-2:00 and June 6th from 10:30-12:30 the Tahoe Keys Property Owners Association will be hosting an Eyes on the Lake Training event at the Tahoe Keys Pavilion. This program, through the League to Save Lake Tahoe, gives you the opportunity to help track the aquatic invasive species problem while doing something you already love, enjoying the beautiful waterways of Lake Tahoe and the Tahoe Keys!
This training will provide you with the background, tools, and knowledge base to successfully identify and report a number of aquatic weeds that can be found in our waterways. With the help of citizen scientists, like yourselves, we can track the weeds close to home and around the lake. This information can help inform local agencies so they can quickly identify potential threats and remove infestations before they get out of hand.
Please see the flyer for details about the event and how you can RSVP. Space is limited so make sure to sign up before all the spots are filled! Let’s show the basin how much the Tahoe Keys cares about the beautiful lake that we all call home.
Hope to see you there!
